LISTEN: NPA raids Gupta family compound
The National Prosecuting Authority has confirmed a raid is currently taking place at the Gupta family's Saxonwold compound in Johannesburg.
NPA spokesperson, Luvuyo Mfaku says the Asset Forfeiture Unit obtained a restraint order in the Bloemfontein High Court on the 11th of April.
Mfaku says the restraint order was for more than R250-million against the assets of several individuals and entities implicated in the Estina Dairy Project in Vrede in the Free State.
Seven people, including a member of the Gupta family appeared in court in February on charges of theft, fraud and money laundering.
