LISTEN: Day one of voter registration off to a good start in KZN
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The IEC in KwaZulu-Natal is happy with the turnout at voter registration stations across the province yesterday.
Mosery said by 2pm yesterday afternoon, KwaZulu-Natal's 4,793 voting stations had each seen, on average, between 50 and 100 people register and check their residential addresses.
"We are encouraged by the numbers we are seeing of voter. It is not as active as we would have liked it to be, but we are satisfied with what we are seeing," he said.
Mosery said it was relatively smooth sailing yesterday.
If you still need to register or check and confirm your residential address, you can head to your local polling station between 8am and 5pm today.
Get ready to visit your voting station! It's important to register, or check/update your address at the correct voting station on 10-11 March, 8am-5pm. Remember your ID. Let's all ensure the accuracy & credibility of SA's voters’ roll! #AddresstheVotersRoll #RegWeekend pic.twitter.com/9j3XBybtqd
