KZN tops 100 000 coronavirus cases, moves past Western Cape

KwaZulu-Natal has breached the 100 000 coronavirus infections mark. It has also moved passed the Western Cape as the second hardest hit province by the virus in the country.
One-hundred and thirty new COVID-19 related deaths were reported by the Department of Health last night.
Thirty of those fatalities were from KZN.
The cumulative total of deaths now stands at 10 751.
There were 2512 fresh cases reported over the past 24 hours.
KZN has a total of 100 494 confirmed cases with 1450 deaths and 56 758 recoveries.
The national recovery rate increased for the third day in a row, climbing to 75 percent.
