Bulelani Mazibuko graduated with a Bachelor of Arts this week - with majors in Philosophy, Politics and Law.

Speaking to Newswatch, the shuffling of feet can be heard as he alongside dozens of students make their way out of a lecture hall at the university's Howard College Law building.

Mazibuko who grew up in rural Escort is now pursuing an LLB degree - with dreams of completing his articles in Corporate Law.

He says he feels lucky to have had a head start in his schooling career - starting school at five-years-old and matriculating at 15-years of age.

"I consciously selected Humanities aligned subjects since high school -  that's History, Geography and Tourism. It needed one to put in some work - to successfully complete the whole academic calendar," Mazibuko says.

He says his family have been an enormous support system.

"Without the support of my family, I wouldn't have made it this far. I have a very loving family, and supportive friends. My sisters and older brother inspire me daily and because of them there's grounds to take off from to build my own success," he adds.

Mazibuko speaks to Newswatch about being the youngest among his peers below.
