KZN teacher accused of impregnating five schoolgirls
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Provincial education authorities say they are shocked and disappointed following accusations that a teacher in Manguzi in northern KwaZulu-Natal has impregnated five schoolgirls in the area.
Parents and other community members are said to have complained about the educator's alleged inappropriate behaviour.
There are also claims he forced one the pupils to terminate her pregnancy.
The Education Department's Kwazi Mthethwa says they are in the process of instituting disciplinary processes against the man.
"We have not suspended him yet because he has not received any documentation from us," said Mthethwa.
However, a full-scale investigation will be launched.
