KZN Social Dev offices robbed, calls for intensified police investigation

The KZN Social Development Department has called on police to intensify their investigation, following an armed robbery at one of its offices in Utrecht.
Departmental spokesperson, Mhlabunzima Memela says a gang accosted security guards at the eMadlangeni office yesterday, and took the keys from them.
He says they stole computers and a laptop - among other items.
Memela says the computers contain sensitive information about clients.

A total of 10 computers in different offices, two TV screens mounted at the reception and boardroom were taken. They also took state vehicle after find keys in the desk drawer.
"This has a negative imoact on service delivery but we will hope the police will actively investigate and find the perpetrator.
It's suspected a syndicate targetting government offices was behind the robbery.
