KwaZulu-Natal police say they are continuing with their clampdown on drug dealing in hotspots across the province.
A Shallcross man appeared in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court on Monday on drug possession charges, after he was allegedly found with thousands of heroin capsules.

SAPS spokesperson Jay Naicker says he was nabbed during an operation by Chatsworth police.
"Police received intelligence of drug dealing in the area and they surrounded the premises leaving no room for the suspect to flee. They sized 7 100 capsules of heroin with an estimated street value of R142 000," he said.
Police Commissioner, Khombinkosi Jula has meanwhile encouraged members of the public to report crimes anonymously.
