KZN jumps to second with over 200,000 COVID-19 cases

The number of new daily COVID-19 cases in the country has remained steady with 18 507 recorded in the past 24 hours.
This now takes our total figure of confirmed cases up to 1 296 806.
There have also been another 712 lives lost, 232 being from KZN.
Bringing the total number of deaths to 35 852.

A provincial breakdown shows that Gauteng is leading with 350 976 cases followed by KZN which now jumps to second with 269 632 cases.
Western Cape has the third-highest provincial tally of 251 107 cases.
