KZN Education says probe ongoing into bullying claims at Chatsworth school
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
KwaZulu-Natal Education has denied claims it failed to act two weeks after a Chatsworth teenager took his own life, allegedly after being bullied at his school.
17-year-old Matthew David was a pupil at Chatsworth Secondary.
Some community members spoke outside the school yesterday, saying they feel let down by the department. They believe officials are taking too long to intervene.

Education's Kwazi Mthethwa says they have been looking into claims that David was victimised by fellow pupils and teachers.
"Our district manager, Mr Naicker, went to the school and met with the school principal and further went to meet with the parents so there is work that is being done. At the right time, we will be able to inform the public," he said.
