KZN Education condemns Lakehaven school fight

Department of Education says it strongly condemns a violent incident involving
high school pupils at Newlands East.
A disturbing video circulating on social media shows a group of learners in full school uniform engaged in a physical fight at Lakehaven Secondary School.
There are also allegations of racial intolerance.
The department said it has launched a full investigation, stressing it has zero tolerance for violence in schools.

It said those affected are being offered support, and that the learners involved will face disciplinary hearings.
The department has added that any act that puts the safety of learners, teachers, or staff at risk is a serious offence.
