Education Kwazi Mshengu says the children are severely traumatised.

"The psychologist will be there on Monday to ensure that they help those who did not come to school. A sizeable number of learners who did not come to school because of shock," says Mshengu.

Mshengu says the teacher, who is in ICU, is on the mend.

"Fortunately he is stable. I have seen him, I am sure in a few days he will be released.

He says community members who know the whereabouts of the remaining suspects should come forward.
