KwaDukuza urges public to be cautious near railways

The KwaDukuza Municipality says it's intensifying its campaigns around railway safety.
It comes after three pedestrians were struck by trains while trying to cross the railway at Shakaskraal in three separate incidents within one week.
One of the accidents resulted in a fatality.
The municipality's Sipho Mkhize says they're urging communities to refrain from taking shortcuts across railway tracks.

Mkhize says people are also putting their lives in danger by running across busy roads such as the N2 and R102 - despite there being pedestrian bridges nearby.
