King Zwelithini's advisor: It's up to family to decide when to share contents of will

An advisor to the late King Goodwill Zwelithini says the name of the next Zulu monarch will only be revealed when the royal family is ready to make that information public.

A special memorial service was held for Zwelithini on Thursday, who passed away a week ago, at the age of 72. 


Now, the King's immediate and close family members are expected to gather for a private reading of his will.

Advisor, Dr Andile Hlatshwayo says it's up to them to decide when to share its contents with the rest of the country. 


"It is very difficult to speak of that because of meetings. I might say tomorrow, whereas you will find that it will take about three days but all that we are hoping for is that within a space of time we need to know. 


"Now there are signs, because this is not just any usual thing, its not like saying that when I go out of presidency, my deputy president will come in. This has got its own significance and tradition."
