Former Gauteng cop Rosemary Ndlovu has been handed six life terms for murder.
Judge Ramarumo Monama handed down sentencing in the High Court sitting in Palm Ridge on Friday.
Listen below:
Ndlovu was last month convicted of six counts of murder.
Five of the victims were her relatives and the sixth was her boyfriend.
Monama has sentenced her to five years for defeating the ends of justice by tampering with the scene where her sister was killed.
She's also received 10 years for each of the seven counts of incitement to commit murder.
The judge added that he does not believe Ndlovu can be rehabilitated.
"The accused is cruel, hellish, bullish, and brazen. The accused was manipulative and always deceitful, tricking her victims into believing that she loves them and they always referred to her as auntie.
"Wost of all, once she seduced them, she struck like a vulture. The expert has classified her as a serial killer which is a classification that I accept.
"And the accused demonstrated complete absence of remorse, this accused deserved to be removed from the society for a very, very long time.”
Ndlovu is said to have committed the crimes in order to benefit from insurance policies.
The court heard she received a total of R1.4 million in payouts from several insurance companies.
The court has sentenced her to 30 years for three counts of fraud.
