The bird flu outbreak has hit a popular fast-food outlet.
Kentucky Friend Chicken South Africa has assured customers that its current chicken-wings shortage will be resolved as soon as possible.
The fast-food giant has been experiencing some issues with its supply of "zinger and dunked wings" due to the bird flu virus that has spread to parts of the country.

Communications Manager, Gail Sham says the franchise has been hardest hit by bird flu.
"Some KFC restaurants, together with the broader industry, are experiencing a shortage of wings in some areas at the moment. This is due to the impact of the outbreaks of Avian Influenza. The increased pressure on our supply chain means that we unfortunately have limited supply.
"So some of our restaurants may be intermittently out of stock. We would like to reassure our customers that we are working tirelessly to bring supply levels back to normal as far as possible," she said.
