There are 489 cases in KwaZulu-Natal. "We are now seeing a lot more of the testing coming from the public sector. We got teams that are out there screening our communities and referring more people for testing. I believe this is the way that South Africa will be able to deal with the pandemic by sending out teams to identify people who might be at risk," he said

Mkhize says the government is currently focusing on the protection of medical professionals. "This donation will contribute significantly to ensure that we are able to get our staff protected against this infection because they are at the forefront of the infection.
