Job creation, education should top KZN budget speech: DA
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The DA says areas of development such as jobs, education and health must be prioritised when Finance MEC Belinda Scott delivers her budget speech in the KZN Legislature today.
The party's Francois Rodgers says improvements to our rail and road networks will help boost KwaZulu-Natal's GDP.
He says it's important to create a province that's an economic hub and drives job creation.

Rodgers says education and health need money to assist with upgrades to poor infrastructure - among other things.
"We'd also like to see some of the provincial departments become amalgamated - Sport and Recreation, Arts and Culture should become one department. It will save us millions that we can utilise in creating jobs. When it comes to the Department of Economic Development, and Tourism - we feel there are too many entities," he said.
