Interest rates unchanged at 6,75%

The Reserve Bank's Monetary Policy Committee has decided not to change the repo rate.
It remains at 6.75, meaning the prime lending rate remains 10.25-percent.
Reserve Bank Governor, Lesetja Kganyago says this was due to international and local factors.
"Three members preferred to keep rates on hold. And two preferred a cut of 25-basis points. The committee assesses the stance of monetary policy to be broadly accommodated over the forecast period. Any future policy adjustments will continue to be data dependent."
The last time the bank increased the repo rate was in November 2018 - from 6.5% to 6.75%.
