Inquest into Enyobeni Tavern incident begins tomorrow

A children's rights organisation believes a swift trial and sentencing should be pursued in the Enyobeni Tavern inquest.

Enyobeni owner, two employees arrested for tavern tragedy

 The Mdantsane Regional Court in the Eastern Cape will begin its inquest into the deaths of 21 minors tomorrow.


Preliminary assessments reveal the victims had methanol in their blood and sustained injuries consistent with being suffocated.

Childline KZN's Adeshini Naicker says such tragedies need to be prevented.
