IEC registration campaign targets universities
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The Independent Electoral Commission says it has extended its youth registration campaign to tertiary institutions across the province ahead of the 2019 elections.
The campaign got underway yesterday and will run until Friday.
The IEC in KZN says it will assist students to register, re-register or check and update their addresses this week.
Dozens of campuses - including private and public institutions - have been identified and will have IEC staff on hand to assist students.
The IEC is working towards ensuring more young South Africans register to vote so that they can participate in the country's democracy. The IEC held its final voter registration weekend drive in January - but people can still register at their local IEC offices.
