IEC applauds voter registration process

The provincial IEC says registration for municipal elections went well this weekend, even though service delivery protests disrupted some venues.
KZN electoral officer Mawethu Mosery says the challenges faced has little to do with the IEC's responsibilities.
Mosery says protests were experienced in Jozini, in northern KZN and some parts of Durban.

"They were just re-directed around voting stations and working with South African Police Services and other security agencies, we are satisfied with the support and cooperation we had," he said.
