Hundreds to march against GBV in Hillcrest

Gender-based
violence knows no borders or tall walls.
That is the view of a group of young residents who are organising a protest march against gender-based violence in Hillcrest – west of Durban tomorrow.

They will take to the streets to add their voices to the calls for action against crimes targeting women and children.
Organiser, Malwande Hadebe says it is a misconception that suburbs are not affected by gender-based violence the scourge.
She says more than 200 people are expected to join the Emancipate Africa march.
Protestors are being encouraged to wear black and red and bring their own placards.
The march gets underway at 12-midday on Saturday (14 September, 2019) outside Oxford Supermarket and will finish at the Hillcrest Corner Shopping Mall.
