G4S guard in Bester prison break to remain in custody
A G4S security guard linked to the convicted murder and rapist Thabo Bester's prison escape has been remanded in custody until May.
He made his first appearance at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The 51-year-old man was arrested at Mangaung Correctional Service on Tuesday.

He is facing charges of assisting Bester to escape from lawful custody.
Magistrate Mohlolo Khabisi says the accused will be joining Dr. Nandipha Magudumana and IT technician Teboho Dipholo.
"Mr [Buti] Masukela, your case is remanded until the 3rd and 4th of May for your co-accused and for your possible bail application. You will remain in custody until then."
