Firearms banned from Durban Magistrate's Court

Guns have been banned at the Durban Magistrate’s Court after a shooting in the building last week claimed three lives.
KwaMashu police officer, Phumlani Chiliza shot dead his wife, Dibuseng Moss Chiliza and her brother, Gert Remoratile Moss on Monday.
He then turned the gun on himself and was rushed to hospital. The police officer died the following day.
The incident took place on the eighth floor of the courthouse, where the couple was getting divorced.
The Department of Justice is investigating.
