Finance MEC urges KZN departments to monitor spending patterns

Delivering the speech on the province's budget adjustment at the KZN legislature, Finance MEC has warned that if the Health and Education Departments over-spend it will place the province in a critical situation.
MEC Belinda Scott says KwaZulu-Natal has a reserve of R400 million for the rest of the 2016/17 fiscal.

She says Treasury is working closely with these departments on their cost containment plans.
Scott says these are critical times when it comes to finances for both provincial and national departments.
