The N3 Toll Concession says traffic volumes heading from KwaZulu-Natal towards the inland provinces will be affected by domestic tourists making the trip home ahead of the 2018 school year.

Government schools open on Wednesday.

The concession's Sphesihle Dladla is urging motorists to ensure they're properly prepared ahead of their journeys.

"People must rest before they go on the roads, as many accidents are a result of fatigue. Motorists must ensure their vehicles are in a good condition, check your tyre pressure and check your brakes," he said.
