Fatal stabbing: Two KZN university students face murder charges

Two suspects in their 20s are expected to appear in court soon - facing charges of murder following this weekend's deadly stabbing incidents, at two separate universities in KZN.
Police say in both cases, arguments broke out before the knife attacks.
The cases were opened at the Mtunzini and the Westville Police Stations respectively.
Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says those who witnessed the attack then ganged up on the 25-year-old suspect, who's currently in a stable condition in hospital.
"A suspect has been arrested and he was taken to the hospital after he was severely assaulted by other learners at the University of Zululand," she said.

Meanwhile a suspect, who's in his 20s, is due to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court today in connection with the murder of a student at UKZN's Westville Campus.
The 22-year-old was stabbed multiple times in a room at a residences in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Mbhele said the suspect who fled the scene later handed himself over to the police in Durban.
