A grieving father who lost his teenage daughter in a shack fire in Umlazi, south of Durban says the family is demanding answers.
They want to know what caused the blaze that claimed the life of Nondumiso Gumede and two other boys in F-Section yesterday.
All three children died at the scene.
Firefighters suspect foul play.
Nondumiso's father, Zwelakhe Mdlalose says he rushed to the scene when he got the call about his daughter.
"It is so painful. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I've always seen such incidents from a distance," said Mdlalose.

"If indeed there is someone behind this, I'm confused why they would do this to these well mannered children. We just came from the mortuary, and to see their bodies in that state was just heartbreaking."
