eThekwini mayor establishes an economy council

eThekwini mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda says the time to move to a more inclusive economy is now.
He was speaking at the Durban ICC during a discussion on the District Development Model for eThekwini.
The model was introduced by the President to improve service delivery around the country.
During the discussions, Kaunda lamented the loss of thousands of jobs since the coronavirus lockdown began in March.

"We have established an Ethekwini Economy Council with the jobs creation and skill revolution that is intending to address these challenges and faultlines of our economy," he said.
"We can't continue singing about the radical social-economic transformation the time to act is now."
