Eskom warns system severely constrained
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Eskom says its generator system is severely constrained after two units at the Kendal and Tutuka power stations in Mpumalanga tripped.

The power utility is asking consumers to reduce our electricity use as technicians work on returning the units to service.
On Tuesday, their Medupi Power Station in Limpopo also experienced a fault.
Eskom says while it's back in operation - the system is still under threat.

Spokesperson, Sinokathi Mantshantsha says the system may be under pressure for several days.
"We request the people of South Africa to cooperate and to reduce the demand in order to help us supply the country's demand through the peak period between 5pm and 9pm.
"This constrained supply situation may persist throughout the week, through the weekend," says Mantshantsha.
