#Elections2019: Additional security for 'high risk' areas

The Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster in KwaZulu-Natal is confident registered voters in the province will be able to vote freely tomorrow.

Community Safety MEC, Mxolisi Kaunda says all 4884 voting stations in the province have been assessed and classified. 

He  says only a small number of violent public protests have been picked up during this period. 

He says there has been a clear decline in incidents of political intimidation and intolerance in the build up to the elections.

But Kaunda says areas that have experienced violent protests have been reclassified as ‘high risk’ so that additional security resources can be allocated there.
