Education officials head to KwaDabeka school after security protest
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Officials from the KZN Education Department are being deployed to a school in Durban's KwaDabeka area - where schooling has been disrupted over poor security.
Over the past week or so - parents blocked the entrance to Mzwamandla Khanyile Primary School in protest.
They say the repeated break-ins at the school have left them questioning the safety of their children on the premises.

Education's Kwazi Mthethwa says they are working on a solution. But, he says everyone needs to be involved.
"Besides budgetary constraints that obviously deny us an opportunity to hire more security personnel - this is a scourge that requires the whole community. You can install a state of the art security but if the community is not willing to come on board, then you'll never succeed," Mthethwa said.
