Durban motorist escapes serious injury in truck tyre incident
A woman has been rushed to hospital after she narrowly escaped being crushed by a tyre that had fallen off a truck, on the N2 near Umhlanga, north of Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that the tyre had tumbled off a truck, and rolled down the N2, near the M41 interchange before crashing into another vehicle.
Netcare 911 medics say the woman sustained minor injuries.
She was treated on scene before being rushed to hospital for further treatment.
