Durban celebrates Commonwealth Games win

The announcement watched by millions on TV across the world was made in Auckland, New Zealand a little earlier this morning.
City officials gathered to witness the announcement
Pupils, teachers and various local government officials are still gathered at the George Campbell School of Technology's sports field as celebrations, music and dancing still continues.
Amongst some prominent figures present, eThekwini speaker Logie Naidoo delivered his speech of support and former Proteas cricketer Shaun Pollock took to the stage to share his experience of being part of the Games back in 1998.
Speaking to Newswatch ahead of the announcement, city manager Sibusiso Sithole says Durban is a special place.
