Durban boy killed in goalpost accident was 'driven, good-natured'

The soccer coach of the little Umhlanga boy who was killed in a freak accident during a soccer match in Durban North says the boy was driven, passionate and eager to learn.
Eight-year-old, Kiyan Singh died on Friday night at the Riverside Sports Club after a goalpost collapsed on top of him.
Singh had been watching his brother play in a soccer match between Riverside and Juventus football clubs’ junior teams.
Kiyan's coach, Nick Albert says that the entire team is shocked and devastated by this death.
Albert says the boy always had a smile on his face and joined the team this year.

He said Kiyan stood out due to his personality and eagerness to learn.
The coach says the incident was a real tragedy and something that they were still trying to understand.
Meanwhile, condolences have been pouring in for the little boy on social media. Kiyan was laid to rest on Sunday.
