Durban Airport travellers warned about airport crime
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
Officials at Durban's King Shaka International Airport have cautioned passengers to always be aware of their surroundings as the airport is busiest this time of the year.
Spokesperson Colin Naidoo says with the increased numbers, comes increased chances of criminal activity.
He says they have upped their security and airport staff, but advise any airport user to report any suspicious activity to authorities.
"They need to keep their personal belongings close to them and if they see or hear anything suspicious, they can go to the nearest security checkpoint or the police station, which are at all ACSA airports in the country, and report it," he said.
