DNA tests underway after woman's body found near Empangeni

KZN police are investigating after the badly burnt remains of another young woman were found in theprovince.
Officers say they are waiting for the results of DNA testing to confirm whether the body found in Ncekwani, near Empangeni, on the north coast on Saturday is that of a student who went missing just over a week ago.
The 22-year-old was last seen before leaving home to go to university.

Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala says a man has been arrested.
"The body was found after the police conducted an intensive investigation about a woman reported missing last week at Mtunzini police station. A 37-year-old suspect was arrested for murder. A DNA analysis will be conducted to check if these are the remains of a woman who went missing," she says.
The discovery comes just weeks after the burnt body of Durban North woman, Siam Lee was found on a farm in New Hanover in the Midlands.
