Diesel users to cough up more at fuel pumps
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Motorists who fill up with petrol will enjoy a slight reprieve at the pumps but diesel users, on the other hand, are going to have to fork out more.
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has announced the latest adjustments to the fuel prices.
Both grades of petrol are set to drop, with 93 octane petrol coming down at midnight by 4 cents a litre.
95 octane petrol will decrease by 1 cent a litre.
If you fill up with diesel, you're going to have to pay 23 cents more for per litre.
The price of illuminating paraffin has also jumped by 32 cents a litre.
The Department says the October adjustments can be attributed to the prices of petroleum products increasing under the period of review and the rand - appreciating on average - against the US dollar.
