DA threatens gov with legal action over COVID-19 vaccine rollout transparency

The Democratic Alliance believes government still owes the public critical information about the covid-19 vaccine.
His address comes as the government remains under pressure over the COVID-19 Vaccine procurement and rollout strategy.
DA leader John Steenhuisen addressed the media yesterday.
Steenhuisen's threatened legal action over the rollout transparency.
"We will need to know in full detail where our shipments and vaccines are coming from. How many doses will be in shipment and when they will arrive. How will government communicate this, we are now heading to the end of January and none of this has been made public."

He says if the president doesn't provide a full plan that covers all the quantities and timelines, they will have no choice but to ask the courts to compile him to do so.
"The president will be receiving a letter from our lawyers, setting out the extent which government strategy does not meet the constitutional requirements for a comprehensive vaccine rollout," says Steenhuisen.
