COVID-19 case delays opening of KwaDukuza licensing office
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Despite efforts to reopen this week, KwaDukuza municipality's motor and driver licensing centres will remain closed.
The facility's plans to reopen their doors have been further delayed after one staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
Workers returned to work on Monday to prepare the centre which has been shut since the lockdown began.

Municipal spokesperson, Sipho Mkhize says all employees in the affected section will need to be screened and tested and forced to self-isolate for 14 days.
"Subsequently, we now have to shut down the facility and re-decontaminate as well as retest other employees that have come to contact with the employee who is now affected.
"Whilst we wish for calm, we ask that residents who have access to go to other registering authorities to do so. We are appealing for calm and are doing everything in our power at the moment."
