ConCourt rules Jiba, Mrwebi won't be disbarred
Updated | By Natarah Nadesan
Constitutional Court judges have ruled in the favour of Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi.

The General Council of the Bar had wanted the former senior NPA officials to be struck from the roll of advocates.
A High Court granted the order in 2016 - but the pair was reinstated after the Supreme Court of Appeal overturned that ruling.
The Council then launched a Constitutional Court application - over their fitness to remain on the roll.
Among other things - Jiba's name was mentioned during testimony at the Zondo Commission, over the decision to prosecute former KwaZulu-Natal Hawks boss Johan Booysen without evidence.
President Cyril Ramaphosa fired Jiba and Mrwebi earlier this year - after a panel found that the two advocates lacked professional ethics, were untrustworthy and disregarded the courts.
This morning, Justice Chris Jafta dismissed the General Council of the Bar's application.
