UPDATE: Flood warning in parts of KZN

The SA Weather Service is warning of heavy rain that could lead to extreme flooding over southern and western parts of KZN today.
Very cold conditions are also expected over the south western parts of the province.
There is an 80% chance of showers and thundershowers over most of the province. Some snow has also fallen in the Drakensberg and Lesotho.
Temperatures in the Kokstad and Underberg areas are expected to remain in the single figures, while the mercury in Durban will only rise to 17 degrees.
The rainfall is expected to continue tomorrow, with the maximum temperature for Durban reaching just 20 degrees.

The rest of KZN will experience scattered showers until Friday morning. Forecaster, Aslam Sardiwalla says an alert has been issued for strong winds along the south coast.
"Gale force winds going up to 70km/h are expected along the KZN south coast extending towards Richards Bay and moderating thereafter. These conditions will result in cloudy and cold conditions across most of the province today," he says.
