Car catches ablaze in Umgeni Road
A thick cloud of black smoke covered the sky on the Umgeni Road after a vehicle caught alight in dramatic fashion this morning.
It is understood that the driver lost control at the corner of Umgeni and Bisasar Road.
Durban Fire Department confirmed the incident and said that no one was injured in the blaze.
As of yet the cause of the fire has not been established.
Eastcoster Yolandi Taljaard has shared a video with ECR's Traffic Guy on Twitter showing the extent of the damage caused to the vehicle.
In the video, the fire extinguishers can been seen extinguishing the flames.
