Call for speedy arrests in murders of Bergville sisters

The Department of Social Development in KZN has
called on police to make speedy arrests after two sisters were murdered in
Bergville.

The two sisters were allegedly murdered by their partners.
Zibuyile Ngubeni was laid to rest on Sunday after she was allegedly assaulted with a crowbar by her husband.
The incident took place days after the Ngubeni's sister was shot and killed, allegedly at the hands of her boyfriend in the family's yard.

No arrests have been made in either case.
The department's Mhlaba Memela says both the women's children are receiving counselling.
"In some cases, if you find out that these children are unable to grow the way they are supposed to grow, they need to be guided by their parents and unfortunately in some cases, we found that the mother was murdered by the father and the family tries to take care of the child, but it becomes a burden."
