Bonginkosi Khanyile July unrest case back in court
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Former Fees Must Fall activist Bonginkosi Khanyile will appear in the Durban Regional Court on Friday morning, where his July unrest case is expected to get underway.

He was arrested for allegedly inciting the violence that claimed the lives of over 300 people during widespread looting that caused damage to property in 2021.
The court previously heard that he'd refused to accept the jailing of former president Jacob Zuma.
The State accused Khanyile of using delay tactics after he requested additional counsel.
He's facing charges of incitement to commit public violence, and contravening the Disaster Management Act.
