The party says it is not happy with the number of black players in the squad and had wanted the North Gauteng High Court to stop the team from being allowed to travel to England.
Party president Tshidiso Mokhoanatse did not have legal representation when he arrived at court. After an adjournment to allow the applicant to find a lawyer, the urgent application was withdrawn.Judge Ntendeya Mavundla told the court that however, the issue of transformation needs to be tackled as it is crucial.
"In respect of compliance, in terms of Rule 16a, maybe what we need to do, especially having regard to the fact that there are issues, the interdict is no longer pursued.
''We afford the applicants to comply with Rule 16a, which will then allow a broader community to engage in this matter, so that at one or other stage, later down the line this issue of transformation can then be ventilated," he said.
