The dismembered body of an 8-year-old Driefontein girl who was reported missing has been found in a pit toilet.
A police K9 Unit began a search for Celimpilo Sibiya on Monday after her family opened a case six days after she disappeared from her home near Ladysmith in northern KwaZulu-Natal.
"A family member took police to where he allegedly killed the girl. Parts of her body were found in two pit toilets near her house. Police have opened a case of murder," said Zwane.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says detectives became suspicious that a missing person's case was opened so late.
