Body of boy found in Phoenix
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The decomposed body of a child has been found in Phoenix in northern Durban.
The child is in school uniform.
The family of missing ten-year-old Miguel Louw, who disappeared over a month ago from outside his school, is at the scene.
Police are preparing to take them into the bush near Longbury Drive where the body is lying to identify it.
KZN police's Thembeka Mbhele says members of the K9 unit stumbled upon the body this afternoon.
"In fact, they were working on another case and when they got there with the dog - that's when the dog led them to the body. And the body was recovered. For now, the experts are still busy at the scene but this is the only information that we have for now," Mbhele said.
