Bathers warned of strong rip currents
Updated | By Christopher Motabogi
The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI), is appealing to bathers and anglers to be extremely cautious along the coast.
This as the full moon spring tide peaked over the weekend.
The NSRI's Craig Lambinon says the higher than normal high tides and lower than normal low tides will bring with them much stronger rip currents.

He says it is imperative that bathers obey the instructions of lifeguards as the current conditions will last for at least the next few days.
''With the very strong rip currents that we're experiencing at the moment - they'll obviously ask the public to move to wherever they post their [red and yellow] flags in the new position on the beaches,'' he said.
