ATMs 'will have cash’ during banking sector strike
Updated | By Jacaranda fm
The Banking Association of South Africa has given an assurance that
contingency measures have been put in place to ensure South
Africans are able to withdraw money from ATMs on Friday.
This comes amid the planned strike action by members of the South African Society of Bank Officials (SASBO) on the same day.

The planned strike has led to concern that ATMs could run out of money and that South Africans won’t be able to access cash on Friday.
But the association’s managing director Cas Coovadia says banking services will be operational throughout the week.
“Banks are not closed on Friday so you will be able to use banks. Banks will be open for business.”
Coovadia says there is no need for South Africans to panic ahead of the planned strike action.
